Fenwick sits right on the Delaware-Maryland line, and it uses that position well: a calm, residential beach town during the day, with Ocean City's boardwalk and bigger-city energy fifteen minutes south whenever you want it.
The town itself is unhurried — the historic Fenwick Island Lighthouse still stands watch a few blocks from the beach, and the sand rarely feels crowded even in the middle of August. It's a base camp more than a destination, and that's precisely its appeal.
Golden hour at the lighthouse, looking back north up the coastline toward Bethany — fewer people photograph this stretch than almost anywhere else on the Delaware shore.
